So fucking happy I don't have to go to RSA this week

Damn I miss seeing all my security industry buddies, but I don't miss ... everything else

Everyone headed out this week - hope you have easy travel and great meetings. RSA is tremendous because it gets a lot of folks in the same place and that's how magic happens

Just happy I don't have to do client meetings, analyst briefings, happy hours, and all the other nonsense

Nothing wrong with it. I'm just lucky to be able to avoid it

Took the "kids" (24-25) shooting this weekend. After a particularly unsuccessful course of fire, one of them yelled "Don't draft me unless you want to LOSE this Iran war"

Don't know if I'd say the kids are all right, but at least they're kinda paying attention

These kids (24-25) are all arguing about which of them is the oldest so I had to remind them that my wife and I have been dating longer than any of them have been alive

That seemed to shut down that line of discussion. Now they're playing MarioCart

Called my brother who runs a handyman service up in Chicago today

Me: Hey, man

Brother: How's it going?

Me: I was calling to get you to remind me of how you fixed the septic system when it backed up last Thanksgiving

Brother: So "bad" is how it's going?

The important things is we got everything sorted out. Our "nephew" is here this weekend with his college buddies so I'm sure some 24 year old flushed an apple core down a toilet or some other kid-nonsense like that

The wife and I don't have kids. BUT we did keep track of some twins that went through Trinity University (our alma mater) a couple years back

Checked in on them every couple of weeks to feed them dinner, take them to get groceries, and see what they were up to in order to make sure they weren't doing anything crazy

("Parenting" is, apparently, easy. Not sure what everyone else is whining about...)

Now our "nephew" is back in town this weekend with his new fiancé and his college buddies.

Admittedly, I've been on a bit of a Warren Zevon kick lately

Started my seedling/grow operation in-town to run in parallel with the one I've got out at the ranch. Probably a bit later than I should have, but I plan to overcome this by just planting way more seedlings

Now I've got to build my raised beds and figure out how to get them filled up without infinite trips with a wheelbarrow
